Headquarters — launch sequence

Ninety days to a front door that opens.

Entity first, connections before keys, buildings scored on the same ten lines, and doors that open in stages so somebody gets helped the week we get the keys.

The sequence

Four phases. Two of them Jake signs for; the other two run themselves.

  1. 01

    Standing and paperwork

    Week 1

DBATR Enterprises exists on paper so nothing gets signed in a personal name.

    • Form the holding entity and register the assumed names the divisions will trade under.
    • Open the entity account and put the toll-free line, JustAsk@dbatr.com and dbatr.com on the letterhead.
    • Get the certificate of good standing and an insurance quote binder ready to hand a landlord.
    • Stand up the digital signing and notarization path so no offer ever needs a printer.

Jake's signature: Jake signs the formation documents personally. Everything else is prepared for him.

  2. 02

    Connections before keys

    Weeks 1–3

Every office that can open a door hears from us before we ever tour a building.

    • Written zoning confirmation on the three first-look corridors — community facility, education, and light fabrication in one building.
    • Introductions to the development and IDA offices, olive branch first, ask second.
    • Low-cost hydropower and utility-incentive applications started in parallel, not after.
    • Brokers and municipal surplus-property desks asked one plain question: what do you have that could hold a family-first center?

Runs automatically: Drafted, sent, and tracked automatically. Jake only sees replies that need him.

  3. 03

    Tour, score, choose

    Weeks 3–7

A building picked on the scorecard, never on a feeling.

    • Two tour days per city, the same ten scorecard lines filled in on site.
    • Environmental and structural review ordered before any offer on industrial or historic stock.
    • Contractor walkthrough for the kitchen hood, ADA path, elevator, and sprinkler numbers.
    • Carrying-cost math proven: taxes, heat, and insurance covered without charging a family a dollar.

Jake's signature: Jake walks the finalists. No offer goes out on a building he has not stood inside.

  4. 04

    Doors open in stages

    Weeks 7–12

The front door serves people while the rest of the building is still under construction.

    • Front door, ops deck, and one family room open first — that is enough to help someone the week we get keys.
    • Classrooms and the maker shop phase in behind them as permits clear.
    • Kitchen and care suite last, because both are plan-review dependent.
    • Green retrofit runs alongside the build-out, not as a someday upgrade.

Runs automatically: Scheduling, permit tracking, and vendor coordination run on autopilot with a daily brief.

Connections before keys

Every public office that can open a door, the exact ask, and why it matters. Addresses get verified against each office's own published contact page before a message goes out — we never invent one.

Zoning & permits

City of Niagara Falls Planning & Zoning

Niagara Falls, NY

Ask: Written confirmation that community facility, educational, and light fabrication uses are permitted in the Main Street / Pine Avenue and Buffalo Avenue districts.

Zoning decides whether the whole program fits under one roof or becomes a two-site build.

Route: City Hall planning counter and the published department inbox.

County Soil & Water and Cornell Cooperative Extension

Niagara / Erie / Wyoming County

Ask: Agricultural district rules on public assembly, agritourism, and animal training on a rural parcel.

The dog yard, farm, and animal side needs land that permits people, not just livestock.

Route: County extension office.

County Health Department plan review

Niagara / Erie County

Ask: Commercial kitchen plan-review requirements and realistic timeline.

The open table is a promise. Budget and schedule for it early instead of discovering it late.

Route: Environmental health plan review desk.

Buildings & property

Niagara Falls Community Development

Niagara Falls, NY

Ask: Surplus municipal property inventory and any neighborhood grant or facade program we should be applying to.

City-held property is the cheapest path to a neighborhood front door.

Route: Community Development office, in person preferred.

USA Niagara Development Corporation

Niagara Falls, NY

Ask: Available downtown buildings and the incentive programs a mixed-use community center qualifies for.

They hold the downtown redevelopment pipeline and know what is actually available.

Route: Published project inquiry contact.

Buffalo Office of Strategic Planning

Buffalo, NY

Ask: Former school, church, and hall inventory plus Green Code mixed-use confirmation.

Institutional buildings are already shaped like classrooms, kitchens, and assembly space.

Route: Strategic Planning property and permits desk.

Incentives & credits

Niagara County IDA

Lockport, NY

Ask: PILOT, sales-tax exemption, and mortgage-recording relief for a workforce-training and community-facility project.

IDA benefits are what make the carrying cost survivable without touching a family.

Route: IDA project application desk.

NYSERDA commercial retrofit and clean heating programs

Statewide

Ask: Incentives for envelope, heat pump, solar, and storage on the chosen building.

The green retrofit is part of the build-out, not a later phase.

Route: NYSERDA program portal.

Preservation Buffalo Niagara

Buffalo / Niagara, NY

Ask: Historic tax-credit eligibility screening on any pre-1936 candidate.

Credits can cover a large share of a historic rehab if we start the paperwork before construction.

Route: Published preservation services contact.

Power & fiber

New York Power Authority — low-cost hydropower allocation

Niagara / statewide

Ask: Eligibility for a low-cost power allocation tied to job creation and training in Niagara County.

Cheap clean power next to the falls is the whole reason the maker shop and green bay belong here.

Route: NYPA economic development allocation program.

Two independent fiber carriers

Wherever the building lands

Ask: Serviceability and install timeline for redundant business fiber to the address.

Redundant fiber is a hard requirement. The platform runs from this building.

Route: Business sales, both carriers, same week.

Partners

Northland Workforce Training Center

Buffalo, NY

Ask: A tour and a conversation about partnership rather than competition.

They already run training beside manufacturing bays. Learn from them before building our own version.

Route: Leasing and partnership contacts.

The upgrades that make life easier

What lands in the building, and when. Accessibility and the front door come before finish work — always.

Day one

One desk instead of ten screens

The ops deck runs on /today, /deck and /pocket — calendar, deadlines, calls, and the live feed on one wall.

Day one

Front door answered in under five minutes

Walk-in, phone, and web all land in the same queue. No appointment, no intake maze, no waiting list.

Day one

Zero paper from the first signature

Digital signing and notarization on every lease, contract, and intake. No printer in the building.

Day one

Redundant fiber and clean backup power

Two carriers, battery backup on the ops deck. The platform does not go dark because a line got cut.

Day one

Accessible before it is pretty

Level entry, accessible restroom, quiet room, and a discreet second exit for families at risk — before any finish work.

Phase two

Green retrofit as part of the build

Envelope, heat pumps, solar-ready roof, storage. Lower bills are what keep the front door free.

Phase two

Maker shop with real tools

Trades, robotics, repair, and the green-energy bench. Three-phase power and a drive-in door.

Phase two

Family rooms that feel like living rooms

Parenting time in a room with natural light and no county-office glass.

Phase two

Kitchen and open table

Coffee for service members, ice cream for kids, a hot meal for anyone who shows up.

Ongoing

Everything automatable, automated

Scheduling, permit tracking, outreach, follow-ups, and reporting run themselves with one daily brief.

How we hold the line

  • The entity holds the property. Nothing gets signed in a personal name, ever.
  • Connections before keys — every office that can open a door hears from us first.
  • Doors open in stages. The front door serves people while the rest is still under construction.
  • Carrying cost never lands on a family. If the math only works by charging someone in crisis, it is the wrong building.
  • Nothing on this page is a listing or an availability claim. Every office named gets contacted directly and every address verified before a message goes out.

Location bidding

If you want DBATR — or Jake — anywhere near what you are building, you bid for it.

The era of copying the work, poaching the ideas and offering a buy-off is over. What gets built here has a price, and the price is paid up front, in writing, to the founder and to the families this platform serves. Free stays free for families. Presence, name, and access are not free to institutions.

You bid, we do not beg

Cities, counties, campuses, hospitals, facilities and companies submit what they are putting on the table: money, space, utilities, equipment, staffing, and the political cover to actually do the work.

Paid handsomely, paid now

Presence is compensated on signature — not after a pilot, not on a grant cycle, not in exposure. If the budget cannot pay a founder and a paid team on published bands, the bid is not ready.

No buy-off, ever

No amount purchases silence, a softened standard, a seat at the top, or control of the mission. Anyone bidding to slow this down is declined in writing.

Credit and ownership stay home

Ideas, names, methods and code remain DBATR property with full credit to the humans who made them. Licensing is available; quiet copying is not.

Families never pay the bid

Every dollar from a location bid funds the free core. No family, individual or child is ever charged because a city wanted the headquarters.

Best offer does not always win

The winning bid is the one that helps the most people — clean water, honest courts, real jobs, safe classrooms. Money loses to need every time.

What a real bid contains

  • Who is bidding, with the name and title of the person who can sign
  • Cash consideration for founder presence, plus the term it covers
  • Space: address, square footage, condition, and who pays utilities and buildout
  • Paid roles funded on published bands — peers, caregivers, teachers, trades
  • What you want in return, stated plainly, including anything you want named after you
  • What you will not interfere with: the free core, the standard, the credit

Send bids to OurBestDestiny@dbatr.com. Serious offers get an answer the same day.

The bill for what was taken

Pay for what is happening now, what is coming, and what was already taken.

Presence has a price. So does damage. Innocent people and their families are owed for every day stolen — the missed birthdays, the lost work, the wrecked credit, the health that never came back. That bill is real, it is itemized, and it is due. Nothing here buys silence, and no payment closes the accountability file.

Paid ridiculously well, and paid on time

Current work, future work, and the name are priced at the top of the market — no discount for being from here, no discount for having been through hell. Anyone who wants access pays full freight, up front, in writing.

The family is on the invoice

Harm never lands on one person. Children, parents, partners, and the people who kept the lights on are named parties in every claim. They get counted and they get paid, not thanked.

Every innocent person, not just this one

The same package is built for any wrongfully accused person and their family: claim assembly, damages worksheet, filings prepared for a human signature, and a public record of who did it. Free to the family, always.

Bankrupt the conduct, not the community

We go straight at the budgets, bonds, insurers, and personal liability of the people and offices that did the damage — and we protect the workers, the clients, and the neighbors who had nothing to do with it.

Replace them with the right people

A payout that leaves the same person in the same chair fixes nothing. Every claim carries a personnel demand: removal, disqualification, or independent oversight, plus a vetted replacement pipeline on published pay bands.

No NDAs, no sealed settlements

No amount buys silence, a sealed file, or a softened account. If a settlement requires a gag, the answer is no and the case goes public instead.

Interest runs on stolen time

Damages are calculated from the first day of the harm, not the day someone finally admitted it. Delay makes the number go up, never down.

The money funds the next family

A fixed share of every recovery goes into the free core so the next wrongfully accused family never pays a dollar to fight back. Nobody has to be rich to be believed.

What gets itemized

  • Days of liberty and time with children taken, priced per day
  • Lost wages, lost contracts, lost business formation and lost equity
  • Legal costs, bail, monitoring fees, transport, and every fee charged to be accused
  • Housing lost, property lost, vehicles lost, credit destroyed
  • Medical and mental-health cost for the accused and for each family member
  • Care hours the family absorbed — the unpaid second job of holding it together
  • Reputation and future earnings, valued by an outside economist
  • Punitive exposure where the conduct was knowing, reckless, or repeated

Who pays

  • The agency, office, or institution responsible, and its insurer
  • Named individuals where immunity does not reach and where conduct was knowing
  • Contractors and vendors who profited from the process
  • Anyone who copied, used, or profited from the work while the founder was held

Claims and demands route to OurBestDestiny@dbatr.com. Free to any innocent person and their family, permanently.
