Dogs of the Lord

Loyal. Trained. Sent.
Nobody walks in alone.

Dogs of the Lord is our own chapter — the boots-on-the-ground arm of Dream Big Buffalo. Same idea that makes groups like B.A.C.A. work: when a child, a survivor or a parent has to face a system that already failed them, they should not face it by themselves. We stand watch in person, and then we carry the records, the referrals and the rides afterward. Free to the family. No strings attached.

The name is the whole job description. A dog is loyal past reason, it can be trained, it knows who is scared in the room, and it does not need to bite to change what happens next.

The creed

We show up in person

A frightened kid or a survivor walking into a courthouse alone is how this system loses people. We stand with them — in the hallway, in the gallery, at the curb after. Presence first, paperwork second.

We never escalate

No confrontations, no addresses, no threats, no vigilante anything. Our whole power is that we are calm, sober, documented and impossible to mischaracterize. Anyone who wants a fight is in the wrong chapter.

We carry the load after

Counseling and treatment placement, medical-records retrieval, legal-aid and pro-bono referrals, rides, food, ID, phone. Free to the family. No strings attached, ever.

We answer to the family, not the cameras

The family decides what is public. We don't post a child, we don't name a survivor, and we don't trade someone's worst day for our own attention.

Four ways to serve

Standing watch

Court appearances, hearings, CPS interviews, hospital waits, moves and exchanges. Two members minimum, always. You wear the patch, you say nothing, you don't leave first.

Ride & transport

Getting people to court, treatment, appointments and safe housing. Plugs straight into our existing rides network.

Paper & records

Helping a family request medical records, read a docket, hit a deadline, and keep copies of everything. Quiet work, biggest win rate.

Chapter build

Vetting, training, scheduling and keeping the log clean so a chapter survives its founders. If you've run anything with volunteers, we need you here.

The gates — non-negotiable

A chapter like this only helps people if it can never be used against them. These are the rules a chapter is chartered on, and breaking one ends membership the same day.

Chapters, anywhere on earth

The first chapter is Western New York because that is where I am standing. It is not meant to stay here. Reuniting families across the globe with love means a chapter in any city where somebody is willing to be vetted, trained and reliable — and we hand over the charter, the creed, the intake workflow and the printable cards for free.

We are also going to the groups who have done this for decades — B.A.C.A., Guardians of the Children, child advocacy centers, escort and veteran riding organizations — to ask for their guidance and to offer them the same support back. Nobody needs to reinvent what already works.
